Austria: digital-only from 1 February 2027

The red 2026 sticker is the last one. From 1 February 2027 Austria sells only the Digital Vignette, linked to the number plate — as announced by ASFINAG.

The 2027 annual vignette is valid from 1 December 2026 to 31 January 2028, up to 14 months. ASFINAG had not published the 2027 prices when this page was written; they are adjusted to consumer prices every year in early October (+2.9% for 2026). For reference, the 2026 car prices: 1 day €9.60, 10 days €12.80, 2 months €32.00, annual €106.80.

For winter trips: a 2026 annual vignette is valid only until 31 January 2027. If you drive regularly from December, the 2027 annual vignette, valid from 1 December 2026, is the better buy.

Switzerland: still CHF 40

The 2027 motorway vignette costs CHF 40, as before, and is valid from 1 December 2026 to 31 January 2028. It is still annual only — Switzerland has no 10-day vignette.

Czechia: price freeze planned, 1-day vignette valid 24 hours

The government wants to end the automatic yearly increase. If the bill passes as drafted, 2027 prices stay at 2026 levels: annual CZK 2,570, 30 days CZK 480, 10 days CZK 300, 1 day CZK 230. The 1-day vignette would also run a full 24 hours from purchase instead of ending at midnight.

The bill has passed its second reading in the Chamber of Deputies but is not yet law. Electric cars remain exempt.

Slovakia: prices announced unchanged

Transport minister Jozef Ráž has said 2027 prices stay the same: 365 days €90, 30 days €17.10, 10 days €10.80, 1 day €8.10.

Hungary: small increase in line with inflation

Hungarian prices follow August inflation by law, so roughly +1.3% for 2027. Calculated, that gives for cars (D1) e.g. HUF 6,990 for 10 days instead of HUF 6,900, and HUF 62,560 for the year instead of HUF 61,760. Official prices are published later in the year.

Slovenia: no increase planned

The operator DARS plans no increase. Car prices remain: week €16, month €32, year €117.50. Slovenia has no 1-day vignette.

We update this page as operators publish new prices.
