Is there a Italy vignette?
No. Italy does not sell a motorway vignette. Italy has no motorway vignette at all. The autostrada is a closed barrier system: you take a ticket where you join and pay for the distance driven when you leave, by card or cash at the booth.
What does catch drivers out is the approach. Almost every land route into Italy crosses a country that does require one, and the Austrian vignette does not cover the Brenner motorway — that section is billed separately on top.
